This months artist is Lila, @somedumbdesigns. Her work is so much fun, from the colors to the wordplay! Truly a joy to look at, highly recommend stopping in and looking, or buying 😏 it’ll be up the whole month of July!

From the artist:
“It all started...
in 2019 when I created my first digital illustration in this art style titled Vending Machine Vending Machine. It took around 30 hours to create from concept to completion. The piece was inspired by my love for meta concepts.

My work is inspired...
by my desire to create art that incorporates wordplay and puns. I am someone who takes things very literally, sometimes to a detriment. These illustrations are an outlet to showcase my ability to pick up on the double entendres in every day life.

The colors I use...
are a form of self expression and a way to not take myself too seriously, it’s just for fun. I try to be consistent with using similar shades that correlate with what I am drawing in real life. For example, I would use a pink for red, cyan for white, and shades of purple for skintones.”
